Regarding Booking & Consultation

How do I book a tattoo project with you?

— Step one. Find your way to my Booking page and book a paid consultation.
— Step two. Get an in depth talk and visual plan designed with me online via Zoom.
— Step three. We book your tattoo session during the call, finding a day that fits.
— Step four. You pay a required reservation fee for approving the booking.
You now have a tattoo booking.

Why is a consultation necessary?

— A lot of people feel anxious or uncomfortable about getting tattooed when they are not familiar with their artist.
— Through an online consultation with me I get to break the ice, get to know you and show you who I am. It allows me to ask deeper questions that are hard to find during a written message or email.
— This allows me to truly understand the vision you are looking for and therefore be able to match the tattoo design as close to the final product as possible, with few-to-none changes needed, & you will feel the piece matches you at a soul level.

Can I see the design before the session?

— Yes you will see a sketch during our online consultation of your desired tattoo.
Seeing the finalized design will happen on the day of tattooing, this ensures I will get full focus on finalizing the design without pressure to meet ‘sending demands’.
— The day of tattooing you will always be allowed to make small adjustments to the design itself, but bigger changes that completely takes away from the original sketch we decided upon during consultation, will be booked as a new session and the reservation fee will be lost.

Why does a consultation cost money?

— I have priced my consultations to make sure that the energy I spend and time I use to draw and finalize the details of the project before your session, has been accounted for with energy(payment).
— Energy should always be exchanged with energy. This ensures that you are serious about your tattoo journey, and ensures that I can deliver a high quality experience each time I host a consultation and guidance process.
Keep in mind the payment is also a part of the price for your tattoo. So should you book the tattoo project and get it realized, then you are not loosing anything, just investing in the future version of yourself.

Regarding Precare & Aftercare

How should I prepare for my session?

— Preparing for your session should be taken as serious as the rest of the process with getting a tattoo.
— Here I have an in depth pdf you can download that covers all the steps for preparing for your upcoming session so you will be physically and mentally ready for your tattoo session –
Download Preparation Guide

What should I be aware of before or after getting a tattoo?

— How are you feeling at the time of the session, do you have your period? Are you stressed, anxious, been operated recently, have a skin inflammation, infection, in treatment, on blood thinning medicine, drunk, hungover, pregnant or breastfeeding? Many factors can worsen your pain tolerance or risk your comfort and in worse situations, your safety during your tattoo experience.
— Contact me regarding any of your worries, before you decide to show up for your session and make sure to inform any important details so we can target and handle them effectively together.
— There is nothing wrong with not feeling okay or being hindered in any way to your session, Just make sure to communicate these things in good time to ensure a comfortable experience. Read up on do’s and don’ts in my Tome page regarding your newly fresh tattoo or before you get a tattoo for in depth knowledge.

Do you have an aftercare guide?

— Yes I have an aftercare guide you can check it here – Download Aftercare Guide

What does the aftercare process look like?

— Essentially, on the day of your tattoo, you will either get a ‘plastic film wrap’ or ‘second skin type’ packaging on the tattooed area. Leave this packaging on between 2 hours – 24 hours, depending on the packaging you get and the guidance I will provide.
— Take your packaging off using the instructional guidance from the ‘Aftercare Guide’ above, and gently wash with a mild neutral soap, every morning and night for 3 weeks.
— Moisturize the area with a very thin layer of Panthenol salve or tattoo crème, as soon as your tattoo starts to fully dry between washes and is not oozing plasma anymore.
— Prevent dirty interactions; don’t poke, scratch, touch your tattoo during the day, keep away from animal hair, human hair, sunlight, ocean bathing, chlorine water etc.
Use sunscreen as soon as the 3 weeks of healing have passed and the tattoo is fully healed.

Regarding My Policy

What is your policy regarding Sickness and/or cancellations?

— Reporting sickness needs to happen at the latest (6am) in the morning on the day of your session. This will ensure that you get no penalties, for not being able to show up so your reservation fee will automatically be transferred to the next booked time, that you’ve re-booked within a 3 day timeframe.
Sometimes I will be traveling for almost 2 hours in order to meet up for your session, so getting a notice at 6am, also ensures I don’t waste money and time on a cancelled booking.
— Cancellations must happen 7 days prior to your session, any later than that and you lose your prepaid reservation fee. It can be hard to find a new client in a shorter weekly timeframe, so the 7 days allows me to be able, to try and fill the cancellation with a new booking, and the prepaid reservation fee can cover any extra preparations spent before your cancelled session.
— No shows, is an immediate loss of your reservation fee (even if you have just forgotten you had a session booked and write to apologize). When Accidentally not showing up for a certain reason, it doesn’t mean I won’t want to work with you in the future, however I might need to adjust how much the reservation fee is and make it higher to ensure more security for the upcoming session.

Do you offer retouches for your work?

— I offer a 3-month-free-retouch-period after each tattoo project is completed. This ensures that my work is being presented in the best light possible, as you wander the world and advertise my art and your transformative pieces.
— Requesting a retouch any later than that will be seen as a paid service.

I’m breastfeeding or pregnant, can I still get tattooed?

No. To prevent the risk of harming your baby with a potential infection or other potential chemical reactions from the ink and needles, I would highly refrain you from getting tattooed under the circumstance. You are signing a consent when you get tattooed. Please make sure to be as truthful as possible when signing up for getting tattooed, and please take care of your own and the health of your baby.

How do I get in contact with you?

— You can contact me on Instagram & facebook @michelliink or by email at
Michelli@mi-im.art
— From there you will be in correspondence with my team member Belinda, who will be able to answer all your questions for; before the steps for booking your consultation, while prepping for your tattoo session, and after your tattoo session is done and you are going through healing.
